The Journey Begins

Stuffrite began with a problem I really wanted to solve: Can we make cash stuffing digital? Can it be tracked on an app and represent a digital version rather than having to handle physical cash?

I wanted to see if the envelope system could work in a digital space where portioning an account balance into envelopes, pots, or jars mentally and visually makes sense. Answering this question has snowballed into what Stuffrite is now: an offline-first digital cash stuffing machine.

The core of the app is built on a philosophy I call "The Wall." It’s a way to distinguish between money leaving your world (External) and money just moving between your accounts or envelopes (Internal). This simple distinction gives a level of cash flow clarity that traditional budgeting apps often miss.

Right now, Stuffrite is sitting in the Google Play Console, waiting for 30 odd testers to put it through its paces. After just 12 hours, I’ve already pushed out another release based on early feedback and a bug fix. It made me question if it was even ready! Of course, it isn’t yet—and that’s why this closed testing phase is so important.
